LITURGICAL YEAR 2025
We persist in this Apostolate because the Catholic faith is beautiful, because it is true, and because it is good. We persist because the Church is Christ here-present, and, like a ship, protects and advances us toward Jesus Christ until He comes again. We persist because we have been charged with passing on our faith (see Deuteronomy 4:4-7; 11:19).
And, we persist because, to shamelessly co-opt a line from the movie Chariots of Fire, “When we write, we feel His pleasure.”
Presently, weekly copies of our two Faith Supplements are available for free downloading and printing.
Prayer for the Second Sunday of Advent
Entrance Antiphon for the Second Sunday of Advent
O people of Sion, behold,
the Lord will come to save the nations,
and the Lord will make the glory of his voice heard
in the joy of your heart.
The dawn of Liturgical Year 2026 marks the official beginning of our Sabbatical Year, a period of prayer, retreat, study, and discernment. Since 2013 we have shaped and reshaped our fleet. Now we need a year-long break to better assess the future course of The Catholic Navigator during this time of cultural upheaval. Please keep us in your prayers.
Yes, our online presence will continue under the supervision of our new web designer, but will feature a look back to the past, to The Catholic Navigator’s first year online. Thereafter we were graced with the graphic design and artistic professionals, Nancy and Jennifer, who helped us to curtail the verbal exuberance of the 2013-14 issues. True, there is much information to digest in the 2013-14 Catholic Navigator, but, indeed, less did prove to be more. We also will be posting issues of the Catholic Tugboat’s second A Liturgical Year, 2019-20 as well.
